‘Blasting music at 2 am is not Bhakti’: Allu Sirish objects to loud music at Hyderabad temple

Actor Allu Sirish has clarified that his complaint about loud music being played at a Hanuman temple in Hyderabad was not motivated by religious devotion. The 36-year-old, who identifies as a religious person and a devotee of Lord Hanuman, took to social media to address the criticism he received after initially complaining to the Hyderabad City Police.

Sirish explained that the issue was about the disturbance caused to residents during late-night hours, not about his personal faith. He shared throwback pictures from his temple visits and emphasized that his complaint was about civic sense, not devotion. The actor's concern arose after loud music from a DJ setup was played at the Vinoba Nagar Hanuman temple, near his residence in Shaikpet, from late night until 2 or 3 am for several days.

He had previously informed the Film Nagar Police Station, but the complaints were dismissed, stating that the festival was underway. However, Sirish noted that the loud music persisted even after the festival concluded. The Hyderabad Police acknowledged receiving his post and forwarded the matter to the Film Nagar police for necessary action.

Residents had complained about the noise causing disturbance to elders, children, and working individuals in the society. The police instructed officers to inspect the area and request the temple organizers to reduce the volume.
