Asian Games hit by fresh transport blunder as Pakistan team driven to wrong venue

NAGOYA, Sept 28 — The Asian Games in Japan continue to experience organizational issues as the official bus carrying the Pakistan men’s volleyball team was directed to the incorrect venue. This error forced the team’s upcoming game against Uzbekistan to be delayed by 45 minutes. The bus was meant to transport the players to an arena in Okazaki, located southeast of the host city Nagoya, where their match was scheduled.

However, the vehicle mistakenly took the team to another Games venue approximately an hour's drive away. "As a result, the team arrived late at the correct competition venue, and we were required to delay the match by 45 minutes," stated a Games official. Despite winning the match 3-0, the incident added to the growing list of complaints about the Games' accommodation and transport services.

Earlier, South Korea expressed frustration after their bus, which was supposed to take them to a light practice session before their men’s basketball final against hosts Japan, failed to arrive.
