Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim has suffered a setback, fracturing his left ankle during a match against Aduana FC. The 24-year-old collided awkwardly while defending a counter-attack, leading to his immediate medical attention. The extent of the injury was later confirmed to be a fracture after further medical examinations.

Kotoko have now stated that Danlad is expected to be sidelined for an extended period. This comes as a significant blow to the goalkeeper, who had returned to his boyhood club ahead of the 2026/27 season after two years with Ethiopian Coffee SC.
