Arrest Nana Boakye and probe into drug lab claims – NDC’s James Agbey

NDC member James Agbey has urged security agencies to arrest and interrogate NPP National Organiser Henry Nana Boakye following his allegations about clandestine drug labs in Ghana. Agbey stated that the claims made by Nana Boakye, also known as Nana B, are too serious to be a part of the ongoing political debate and must undergo a formal investigation.

At an NPP press conference on September 22, Nana Boakye alleged that drug traffickers had set up laboratories in Ghana to process illicit narcotics for export and that some government officials were aiding these activities. Agbey, in a statement on Monday, September 28, requested that Nana Boakye provide supporting details for his claims, including when and where the alleged facilities were established and who built them.

He also asked whether Nana Boakye had recently become aware of the labs or had known about them for some time. Agbey questioned whether the alleged laboratories were operating while the NPP was in power. He emphasized that anyone claiming to have credible intelligence on clandestine drug-processing facilities and official complicity should share this information with the relevant state institutions.

Agbey urged Nana Boakye to assist investigators in establishing the facts behind his claims, and called for a thorough investigation to verify the accuracy of the allegations and determine if there were any inconsistencies.
