Alakple community seeks partnership with Nana Abena Etubra to accelerate development

The residents of Alakple, a small fishing village situated in the Anloga District of Ghana's Volta Region, have reached out to Nana Abena Etubra, the Benkumhene of Gomoa Amanful, seeking a joint venture to boost the community's growth. Historically, the Alakple community has relied on local resources for development projects, but they now believe that partnering with Nana Abena Etubra could expedite the establishment of crucial infrastructure and generate new prospects for inhabitants.

The villagers shared that they had started building a healthcare facility but were thwarted by financial obstacles, thus requesting assistance to complete and furnish the project for the benefit of the neighborhood. They also sought help in launching vocational training programs, a tomato-processing factory, and a community center, as these initiatives would create employment and skill-acquisition opportunities, especially for the younger generation.

Despite the obstacles, the people of Alakple have persistently contributed to road construction and other community development efforts. They eagerly anticipate that a collaboration with Nana Abena Etubra would bolster their current endeavors and draw further assistance. The plea was articulated during Nana Abena Etubra's visit to her ancestral home in Keta-Dzelukope, a city in the Volta Region, which was arranged to reinforce familial ties and reinforce relationships with the community and traditional leaders.

The Anlo Royal Heritage welcomed Nana Abena Etubra in a ceremony that honored their shared ancestry, culture, and unity. Nana Abena Etubra, a rare representative of the Gomoa Assin Traditional Area with royal lineage from Anlo, including Keta-Dzelukope, Gomoa, and Ga in the Greater Accra Region, appreciated the warm reception from the people of Alakple and pledged to collaborate with local chiefs and residents to foster development in the area.

During the ceremony, the chiefs and villagers of Alakple gifted her a stool, symbolizing her royal heritage and the enduring connection between her lineage and the community.
