Chief Judge Ekaete Fabian Obot of Akwa Ibom State has urged for the careful implementation of Artificial Intelligence in Nigeria's judicial system. In her address, she stressed that technology should serve justice, not dominate it. Obot made these remarks during a lecture marking the 2026/2027 legal year in Akwa Ibom. She pointed out that the judiciary cannot afford to be disconnected from the swift technological changes that are transforming many sectors.
