Akshaye Khanna buys Mumbai apartment for Rs 33.26 crore after Dhurandhar success

Renowned actor Akshaye Vinod Khanna has recently acquired a luxury apartment in Mumbai's prestigious Malabar Hill neighborhood for a sum of Rs 332.6 million, as per property registration documents obtained by Square Yards. The apartment, known as Dhurandhar 2, boasts a spacious 2,341.39 sq ft carpet area, supplemented by an additional 175.45 sq ft of balcony space, for a total area of 2,516.84 sq ft. Accompanying the property are three parking units, as indicated in the registration documents.

The transaction, finalized in September 2026, incurs a stamp duty of Rs 19.9 million and registration charges amounting to Rs 30,000, according to the accessed documents. Malabar Hill, a highly sought-after residential area in Mumbai, is renowned for its prime South Mumbai location, premium residences, and breathtaking coastal setting.

Situated along the Arabian Sea, the neighborhood is connected to key commercial and lifestyle destinations through Nepean Sea Road, Walkeshwar Road, and Pedder Road, with easy access to landmarks such as Marine Drive, Nariman Point, and Colaba.

Akshaye Khanna, an established actor with a career spanning several decades, has showcased his versatility through his roles across various genres. Some of his notable films include Hulchul, Race, Gandhi, My Father, Dil Chahta Hai, and Drishyam. In the film Dhurandhar, he portrayed the character of Rehman Dakait, a powerful Lyari-based criminal and a key antagonist, for which he garnered significant acclaim.

His powerful performance, sharp dialogue delivery, and distinctive screen presence made the character one of the most talked-about performances in the film. Additionally, Khanna appeared in Chhaava, playing the role of Aurangzeb opposite Vicky Kaushal.
