AeroPress Unveils a Coffee Press Made of Luscious Walnut Wood

On the eve of National Coffee Day, AeroPress introduced a new line of coffee presses crafted from luscious walnut wood, the first time the company has ventured into wood designs. The brand, recognized for its three-in-one brew method that combines immersion, aeration, and air pressure, unveiled a brewer and manual grinder, both made of solid, clear-grade walnut.

AeroPress's representative explained that wood selection was driven by the product's tactile nature and the warm tone contrast with darker finishes. The brewer and grinder share the 304 stainless steel, aluminum, and double-wall borosilicate glass components of the other AeroPress models, but the brewer's chamber, plunger, flange, scoop, and stir accessories were all redesigned to fit the walnut accents.

The grinder, with 60 grind settings, has been given a black finish and walnut handle, while the overall body takes on a darker tone. Its metal component now features a walnut sleeve and is fitted with Italian-made titanium-coated 38-millimeter conical burrs with a lifetime warranty, dual bearings, and an Easy-Grind system. The unique aspect of this design is the ability to store both the grinder and its handle inside the brewer, a first for AeroPress.

Regarding sustainability, the walnut used in the new design is sourced from responsibly managed forests in the USA. The AeroPress representative emphasized that the walnut collection is designed for durability and longevity, with replacement parts available to repair rather than replace components. Priced at $250 each, the brewer and grinder are now available on AeroPress.com and Williams-Sonoma.com.
