90,460 graduates registered to vote in Karnataka West Graduates’ Constituency

In Karnataka West Graduates' Constituency, a total of 90,460 graduates have registered as voters as of November 1, 2025, according to Regional Commissioner K.M. Janaki. Only graduates listed on the constituency's electoral roll are eligible to participate in the upcoming election. The electoral roll has been created anew using the de novo system, with 137 polling stations set up, including 128 regular and nine auxiliary stations.

The Election Commission of India announced the election date on September 22, and the Model Code of Conduct became effective for political parties and candidates.

To contest the election, candidates must be at least 30 years old, registered voters in any Assembly constituency in Karnataka, and not disqualified under any law. Nomination papers, including Form 2E and the updated affidavit in Form 26, will be available at the Dharwad Deputy Commissioner's office starting September 29. Completed nominations can be submitted between September 29 and October 6, excluding holidays, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Returning Officer, Assistant Returning Officer, or Deputy Commissioner's office in Dharwad.

Candidates from the general category must deposit ₹10,000, while those from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes must pay ₹5,000. Janaki urged candidates to fill out the affidavit completely, warning that incomplete forms would result in rejection during the scrutiny process. If the affidavit and required forms, AA and BB, are not submitted with the nomination, they must be provided by 3 p.m. on October 6, the final nomination deadline.
