80-year-old man found dead after being trapped in Raub house fire

An 80-year-old man tragically lost his life after being trapped inside a house that was consumed by fire in Raub on Sunday night. The Pahang Fire and Rescue Department reported that the deceased was discovered in the living room following the containment of the blaze. The incident occurred at around 9.56pm, prompting the Raub Fire and Rescue Station to dispatch firefighters to the scene.

Approximately 80% of the semi-permanent structure was destroyed by the fire. Firefighters utilized one hose line with a dividing branch and two nozzles, drawing water from their tank. They employed both defensive and offensive strategies to combat the fire before locating and rescuing the elderly man, who was discovered in the living room. The firefighting operation concluded at 2.13am on Monday.
