5 Fully-Funded Master’s and MSc Scholarships in Australia Closing in September 2026

Five fully-funded Master's and MSc scholarships in Australia are available for submission before September 30, 2026. RMIT University and the University of Canberra are offering these scholarships in various research fields. Funding ranges from AUD 35,886 to AUD 37,683 annually, with additional tuition support and living assistance. The scholarships are open to eligible students from Pakistan and other countries.

1. The Master's by Research Scholarship for the Social License Project at RMIT University focuses on sustainable packaging. This two-year program offers AUD 36,234 to AUD 37,683 per year, along with tuition support and living assistance. Research will explore social and behavioural factors influencing the adoption of compostable packaging alternatives. The scholarship covers full-time research study and access to advanced computing facilities.

2. RMIT also provides a Master’s by Research in Computational Materials Discovery. This project employs computer-based modelling to investigate two-dimensional metal oxide materials for future electronic applications. The scholarship offers AUD 35,886 per year for full-time research, including access to advanced computing resources and academic supervision.

3. Another RMIT scholarship is the MSc by Research in Air Pollution Control Using Nature-based Solutions. This two-year project examines how vegetation and green barriers can improve air quality in urban areas. Researchers will use Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to study airflow and pollutant movement. The scholarship provides AUD 36,245 per year for tuition and a living stipend.

4. RMIT's MSc in Wastewater Heat Modelling offers a scholarship of AUD 36,245 per year for students interested in recovering heat from wastewater. The two-year research project involves developing numerical models to study heat movement and recovery in municipal sewer systems. Eligible candidates include those with backgrounds in environmental engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, energy engineering, and environmental science.

5. The University of Canberra's HDR Stipend Scholarship supports high-achieving students pursuing full-time Higher Degree by Research study. This tax-free living allowance of AUD 36,225 per year is available for up to 3.5 years. Eligibility for the scholarship depends on academic merit, research potential, research experience, research proposal quality, and strategic alignment.
