5 British terror plot suspects freed on bail

Five British men, aged between 23 and 25, have been arrested on suspicion of a plot to attack RAF Fairford, a base used by long-range US bombers. The men, all from the London area, were detained early Sunday near the base. Police spokesperson Laurence Taylor stated that the men, who have not been identified, are to be released on bail but will be subject to strict conditions.

UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham has called a COBRA meeting to gather more information about the incident. Interior Minister Shabana Mahmood confirmed that the area is safe and that evacuated residents will soon return to their homes. The scene was evacuated and bomb disposal robots searched the vans used by the suspects. Iranian officials have denied any involvement in the incident and condemned the unfounded speculations linking Iran to the arrests.

US President Donald Trump expressed satisfaction with the arrests, stating that the UK and the US had been investigating these individuals for a long time.
