Xavi gets first win as Netherlands boss, Denmark beat Wales

Xavi Hernandez secured his first win as Netherlands head coach with a 2-1 victory over Serbia in the UEFA Nations League match held in Belgrade on Sunday. Two goals from Mexx Meerdink proved decisive for the Dutch, who had suffered a 1-1 draw with Germany in Xavi's previous match. Serbia had an early opportunity to take the lead, but Dejan Joveljic's shot hit the goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen.

Cody Gakpo left the field injured, and was substituted by Ruben van Bommel. Xavi's team took the lead in the 30th minute when Meerdink converted a penalty after Aleksa Terzic fouled Crysencio Summerville. Serbia replaced Luka Jovic with a tactical change, but Xavi's side regained the lead in the 69th minute as Meerdink scored his second goal of the match.

Meanwhile, Denmark bounced back from their loss to Norway by defeating Wales 2-0 in Copenhagen. The Danish team bounced back from their previous defeat, scoring two goals - one through Mikkel Damsgaard's deflected shot and another after Ben Davies' arm deflected the ball into the net during a set-piece.
