Wallaroos 'got some work to do' despite snapping losing streak

Despite a six-match losing streak, the Australian Wallaroos secured a 30-10 victory over Scotland in a Test match played in Edinburgh. The Wallaroos trailed 10-5 at halftime, but they capitalized on the second half to score 25 unanswered points and claim their first win since March. Desiree Miller was the only try-scorer in the first half, while Samantha Wood, Brianna Hoy, and player-of-the-match Faitala Moleka crossed the try line in the second half, with Hoy and Moleka's efforts coming while Scotland was down to 14 players following a yellow card.

Wood contributed with two conversions and an equal number of penalty goals, scoring 15 points. Wallaroos captain Siokapesi Palu Sekona acknowledged that the team has much to work on, but they took the positives from the match. The Wallaroos faced harsh lessons from their previous loss to France, but they have vowed to be relentless, seizing opportunities like Scotland's yellow card.

Rugby Australia's director of women's high performance, Tim Walsh, was unimpressed with the Wallaroos' performance in the first half, attributing their win to the wind and a few key players. The Wallaroos will play two more WXV Global Series Tests against Scotland in October, followed by matches against the Wallabies in the Bledisloe Cup. Walsh emphasized that the team needs to improve further before the upcoming series.
