Velez-Malaga village road gets €728,000 upgrade to improve A-7 access

The village of Los Iberos in Velez-Malaga is set to benefit from a significant upgrade to a key road, costing €728,840. The Malaga Provincial Council has included this project in its €5.2 million Plan Vía-ble, which targets five roads across the province. The 2.7-kilometre access road connecting Los Iberos to the MA-3203 will undergo repairs, including fixing deformed sections, installing new covered drainage channels, improving road markings, and adding metal safety barriers.

Connection to the MA-3203 is crucial as it leads to the A-7, providing residents with access to the coastal road network. This upgrade is part of the wider Plan Vía-ble, which has already funded four other projects in Malaga province. These include improvements to roads in Alhaurin el Grande, Coin, Igualeja, and Teba, with a total investment of over €16 million over four years.
