Uttar Pradesh: CM Yogi Adityanath Orders Immediate Relief, Compensation For Rain-Affected Families And Farmers

Lucknow, September 26, 2026 - Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered immediate relief and compensation for families and farmers impacted by recent heavy rainfall and flooding in the state. The CM emphasized the need for prompt compensation according to rules for those who have lost human life and livestock due to excessive rain.

He also directed that compensation be provided swiftly to families whose homes have been destroyed by the floods. Assessing Crop Damage and Providing Farmer Compensation, the Chief Minister instructed officials to immediately assess crop damage and provide compensation to affected farmers without delay. Relief operations are to be carried out with urgency across flood-affected regions to prevent hardship for families during this challenging time.

CM Yogi directed that flood-affected residents be quickly relocated to designated relief centers and shelters. Adequate arrangements must be made at these centers to support those displaced by the collapse of their homes. All necessary assistance will be provided to affected families in accordance with their specific needs. Senior government officials have been instructed to remain on the ground, overseeing relief and rescue efforts while directly engaging with the people impacted.

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of promptly addressing local concerns and resolving issues using available resources. He made it clear that any delays or negligence in distributing compensation for loss of life, livestock, or homes damaged by the floods will not be tolerated.
