UP Trade Show 2026: Mirzapur Jaggery Thekua Takes Centre Stage At ODOC Pavilion In Greater Noida

Greater Noida hosted the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show-2026 on September 26. The ODOC Pavilion at the India Expo Center and Mart featured dishes and products from each district of Uttar Pradesh, drawing food enthusiasts and curious visitors. Key to the event was the Master Chef Class at the ODOC Pavilion, where traditional Purvanchal thekua was being prepared using jaggery from Mirzapur.

This live demonstration allowed attendees to learn about the dish's preparation and the unique qualities of Mirzapur's jaggery. Experts explained the process, ingredient selection, and the link between thekua, local products, and UP's culinary culture. Renowned chef Harpal Singh Sokhi was set to join the class on Sunday, offering insights on merging traditional UP dishes with modern techniques.

The ‘Khau Gali’ area also attracted crowds eager to sample traditional flavors and learn about the state's districts and their specialties. The ODOC Pavilion aims to showcase the culinary heritage of UP's 75 districts, highlighting the state's 'One State, Many Flavours' identity.
