UDST receives international accreditation in six academic programs

Doha University of Science and Technology (UDST) has received international accreditation for six academic programs in the Colleges of Computing and Information Technology and Engineering and Technology. This accreditation, granted by the Accreditation Council for Engineering and Technology, was achieved through a thorough review process adhering to stringent quality standards.

The accredited programs encompass a range of disciplines, including Bachelor of Science degrees in Information Systems, Information Technology, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology. These programs have been recognized for their alignment with professional standards in curriculum, faculty, student learning outcomes, facilities, and continuous improvement.

Dr. Salem bin Nasser Al Nuaimi, UDST's president, highlighted that the accreditation signifies a commitment to providing high-quality education that meets international standards and addresses the demands of the labor market. He emphasized that the university's focus on producing graduates with the requisite technical skills and professional competencies is crucial for Qatar's transition towards a knowledge-based economy as outlined in the National Vision 2030.
