SportPesa brings Formula 1 home with racing car reveal at Concours d’Elegance

The 54th Africa Concours d’Elegance showcased SportPesa's unveiling of a full-scale replica of the 2019 Racing Point Formula 1 car at Ngong Racecourse, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the brand's motorsport story in Kenya. This initiative, under the "Home For Good" program, aims to bring a piece of the Formula 1 experience directly to Kenyan fans by keeping the car in the country.

SportPesa's Head of Operations, Benard Chauro, emphasized the connection between the brand and Formula 1, highlighting that the car's journey will not only reconnect fans with the history of the sport but also give them the opportunity to experience it beyond the screen. The unveiling of the car at the Africa Concours d’Elegance, a celebration of automotive heritage and motorsport, also underscored the potential for long-term partnership in the country's motorsport scene.

Peter Wanday, Chairman of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club, welcomed SportPesa's presence at the Concours d’Elegance, expressing hope for a long-lasting partnership that will further motor racing in Kenya. The initiative is a continuation of SportPesa's long-standing involvement in the motorsport industry in Kenya, while also providing fans with a new and engaging way to connect with the spectacle, design, and heritage of Formula 1.

The SportPesa Formula 1 car will now embark on a public journey across Kenya, with the details of the upcoming mall tour to be announced.
