Russian Strikes Kill Four in Ukraine, Damage Kyiv Data Center

Russia's overnight airstrikes resulted in at least four casualties and inflicted damage across Ukraine, with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealing that a data center in Kyiv was targeted twice, leading to three injuries, including two children. The Zaporizhzhia region witnessed the death of three individuals, while Kyiv suffered the loss of one life due to the strikes.

Civilian infrastructure, including energy facilities and residential buildings, were attacked in at least eight regions. Russian Defense Ministry reported that its drones targeted a Vodafone-operated data center, one of the key service providers to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, marking the second such strike on the capital's data center in three days.

Additionally, two logistics centers in Kyiv and Odesa regions, along with a dry cargo ship en route to the Odesa port, were hit. Odesa Region Governor Oleh Kiper reported on Telegram that a massive overnight strike caused extensive damage to a medical facility, a hotel, a shop, and a warehouse storing grain crops. Meanwhile, Russian air-defense systems shot down 96 Ukrainian drones between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m., targeting regions adjacent to Ukraine, the annexed Crimean peninsula, and the Black Sea.

Ukraine's air forces stated that Russia launched 170 drones overnight, commencing at 6 p.m. Despite ongoing attacks, peace talks remain elusive, with both nations continuing their conflict well into their fifth year, with no indication of a cessation in hostilities.
