Rising Saudi oil exports show supply resilience despite geopolitical risks

Former Omani oil official Ali Al-Riyami highlights the resilience of Saudi oil exports in the face of geopolitical risks. Speaking to Al Arabiya Business, Al-Riyami commended the surge in Saudi oil shipments. The passage of tankers through the Strait of Hormuz demonstrates the smooth flow of supplies despite ongoing geopolitical threats, according to Al-Riyami.

However, he acknowledges that supply issues remain a concern due to the persistent geopolitical tensions. Al-Riyami also pointed out that Asian refineries are currently engaged in storage and purchasing activities in anticipation of the winter season. He further suggested that if diesel and other product prices continue to escalate in the United States, it would be challenging for the US administration or President Donald Trump to justify the removal of diesel export restrictions.
