Raphael Tuju: My children have been harassed, humiliated in so many ways

Former Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju revealed during Kalonzo Musyoka’s Ukombozi tour in Bondo, Siaya County, that his children have been experiencing harassment and humiliation. The political figure, who had initially kept the issue private, made the disclosure to pray for his children. During the church service at St Michael’s All Angels Cathedral, Tuju emphasized that his family had faced challenging circumstances and asked Christians to pray for them.

He mentioned that while he managed his struggles through faith, his children needed prayers to cope with their hardships. Tuju kept the matter under wraps until September 27, 2026, when he opened up about the harassment and humiliation his family endured. The government official did not specify the nature of the mistreatment or identify the culprits.

Nevertheless, the Tuju family persevered because of their faith, stating that they remained strong together. This public disclosure comes after the Supreme Court permitted judges involved in Tuju’s long-standing dispute with Dari Limited and the East African Development Bank to resume handling the case. The court’s decision was based on changes to the circumstances that prompted the initial recusal of the judges, following withdrawals of complaints filed with the Judicial Service Commission.

Tuju also requested the congregation to pray for Kalonzo Musyoka and his family, noting that Musyoka’s wife had been unwell throughout their political campaign.
