President Droupadi Murmu Congratulates Indian Athletes After Medal-Winning Performances At Asian Games 2026

Among the medalists were Sarvesh Kushare, Tejaswin Shankar, Ancy Sojan, Harita Bhadra, and squash players Anahat Singh and Abhay Singh.

Sarvesh Kushare won a silver medal in the men's high jump final, clearing a height of 2.25 meters to finish in second place. President Murmu praised him for his achievement and wished him continued success in his sporting journey.

Tejaswin Shankar claimed a bronze medal in the men's decathlon, showcasing his prowess across the ten challenging disciplines. The President commended his performance across all events, highlighting the diversity of skills required in the event.

Ancy Sojan secured a silver medal in the women's long jump, finishing with a jump of 6.53 meters. She narrowly missed the gold by just two centimeters, with China's Huang Yingying taking the top spot.
