PAS hanya boleh salahkan diri sendiri, kata Ramasamy

Pengerusi Urimai P Ramasamy of Perikatan Nasional (PN) has accused PAS of solely blaming themselves for the suspension of the coalition, asserting that the Islamic party cannot hold anyone accountable other than themselves. Ramasamy claims PAS made several arbitrary decisions following taking over the PN presidency, even before the Joint Registration Committee (JPPM) issued a notice explaining the reasons for the suspension and halted the union.

He alleges systematic efforts were made to sideline Bersatu from actively participating in PN after PAS concluded its political cooperation with the party in June. "The dispute between Bersatu and JPPM pertains to the exclusion of the party from attending the PN Supreme Council meeting on July 16 and concerns regarding its status within the coalition," he stated on Facebook.

The former DAP leader further claims PAS practices two sets of rules in managing the union, solely to ensure the party dominates and controls PN. Ramasamy states that PAS cannot feign victimhood or reject JPPM's punitive action as political harassment when the Islamic party's actions in managing PN are clearly deserving of suspension.

"How can a coalition claim to be democratic when one of its constituent parties is denied the opportunity to attend meetings, express views, and vote on decisions affecting the coalition?" he questioned. JPPM suspended PN last week following a notice explaining the reasons for the suspension in response to Bersatu's complaint. Former PN Secretary-General Takiyuddin Hassan later speculated that political pressure might have been the cause of the suspension.
