Oregon QB Dante Moore leaves field on cart, in neck brace after late hit from USC’s Desman Stephens

In an alarming incident at the Coliseum, Oregon quarterback Dante Moore was struck by Southern California linebacker Desman Stephens during a slide in the second quarter on Saturday. Moore was left on a stretcher in an ambulance while sporting a neck brace after experiencing a rough hit from Stephens. The impact caused Moore's head to snap back and hit the ground, leading to immediate medical attention.

Desman Stephens was ejected for targeting, and a brawl erupted on the field as Moore's teammates protested. Both teams received unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. The Ducks quarterback, who is a highly anticipated pick for the upcoming NFL draft, was attempting to complete an 11-yard run to the USC 12-yard line when the incident occurred.

His teammates formed a circle around him in the cart as it was transported to the ambulance at the base of the Coliseum tunnel. The game was delayed for around 15 minutes while Moore received cautious treatment and removal. Dylan Raiola, a junior and starter for USC, took over the game and scored a touchdown on his second snap to put the Ducks ahead 10-7.
