Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis harshly criticized Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi during a media interview on Sunday, asserting with certainty that no votes have been stolen during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. Fadnavis specifically accused Gandhi of having his "mind stolen," urging the Prime Minister to form a committee to retrieve and return his mind, so he could speak in the nation's interest.

Fadnavis further criticized the SIR process, pointing out that despite a significant drop in votes attributed to SIR in West Bengal, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) still emerged victorious in at least 15 constituencies. He questioned how this was possible if the SIR process had excluded anti-BJP votes.

The Maharashtra CM also defended the process, stating that every political party can appoint a Booth Level Agent (BLA) at every polling station to raise objections regarding every single page and name on the voter list. He emphasized that incorrect names or missing names should be flagged, but the process is functioning correctly if these objections are raised.

Adding fuel to the fire, Fadnavis accused Gandhi of attempting to discredit constitutional institutions and sow doubts in the public mind, ultimately steering the system towards a communist model. He asserted that Gandhi was using the Constitution as a facade for his true intentions.
