More than 71 terrorists killed across Balochistan in past 4 days: ISPR

In the past 96 hours, more than 71 terrorists have been killed across Balochistan, according to the military's Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The operation, known as Operation Shaban, was launched in response to credible intelligence and targeted the areas of Ziarat and surrounding regions. The ISPR stated that Pakistan's intelligence agencies had identified numerous hideouts of Indian-backed and supported terrorist groups in the Shaban district of Quetta.

During the operation, security forces engaged the terrorists, clearing multiple hideouts and recovering weapons, ammunition, and explosives. A total of 33 Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed, bringing the overall count of killed terrorists to more than 71. Over the last 72 hours, another 23 terrorists were eliminated, further intensifying the operation.

The ISPR highlighted that the security forces have cleared a vast area, providing relief to local communities and neutralizing the threat posed by the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and designated Balochistan-based groups. This counter-terrorism campaign, under the vision of "Azm-i-Istehkam," approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue with unwavering commitment.

The statement emphasized the ongoing involvement of the Afghan Taliban regime in terrorism activities in Pakistan, backed and sponsored by India. These actions continue to cause loss of lives and threaten peace and stability in the region. The ISPR reaffirmed the resolve of security forces and law enforcement agencies to eliminate foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
