Khlong Chan flats residents left without food, water or power amid flooding

Bangkok, on 27th September 2026, residents of Khlong Chan flats in Bangkok's Bang Kapi district are seeking emergency aid as severe flooding has rendered them without food, clean water, or electricity. A plea for help, posted on a Facebook page by Drama-addict, was received from residents of Flat 25, Soi Seri Thai 5 in Khlong Chan subdistrict.

The inhabitants reported that floodwater levels are high and show no signs of receding. They also mentioned that electricity had been disconnected in the Seri Thai Soi 5 area since 08:00 on Saturday, 26th September, and no authorities have yet arrived to offer assistance. The persistent flooding has left them with no food supplies, no water access, and power still off.

Residents stated they were unprepared for such a situation, as they had anticipated the issue would be managed. They implored authorities or relief groups to deliver pre-packaged meals to the impacted area. One resident also expressed concern that their phone battery was nearly exhausted, raising worries that they might soon be unable to receive vital emergency information or updates.

This appeal emerged as several areas of Bangkok and surrounding provinces continue to grapple with flooding following heavy rainfall.
