Karimnagar marathon spreads message of health, drug-free society

The annual "Karimnagar Half Marathon" took place on Sunday, drawing participants from diverse backgrounds, especially students, to promote a drug-free and healthy lifestyle. Organized by the Karimnagar Runners and Cyclists Association (KRCA), this fourth edition of the Karimnagar Marathon-2026 attracted runners of various age groups.

Students from numerous educational institutions convened at Dr B.R. Ambedkar Stadium before sunrise. Justice E.V. Venugopal, a member of the Telangana High Court, inaugurated the event by ringing the bell. Notable attendees included Peddapalli Collector Koya Sree Harsha and other officials. To encourage participants to fight against drug abuse and foster a drug-free society, a pledge was administered under the auspices of the Eagle Force, a Telangana Police drug law-enforcement initiative.
