IndiGo Flight Suffers Tail Strike In Bengaluru, Airline Blames Weather

An IndiGo flight experienced a tail strike during its second landing approach at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru on September 27, according to reports. The incident occurred amidst severe gusty weather conditions. The aircraft landed safely despite the abnormal runway contact. IndiGo stated that all passengers and crew members were safe and disembarked without issue.

The airline has initiated maintenance checks on the aircraft and it is expected to return to service once the necessary inspections are completed. This incident follows a series of safety-related events involving IndiGo flights in September, including a flight returning to Manohar International Airport due to a technical engine issue, another aircraft contacting a Visual Docking Guidance System pole in Srinagar, and a flight diverted to Lucknow after a smoke warning in the cargo area.
