Host Jalen Brunson brings the Knicks to premiere of ‘SNL,’ with many nods to team’s NBA title run

Jalen Brunson, the reigning NBA Finals MVP, brought his team's four championship teammates to the premiere of "Saturday Night Live." The New York Knicks stars — Karl-Anthony Towns, Mikal Bridges, O.G. Anunoby, and Josh Hart — were in the audience to witness Brunson's monologue, which poked fun at various aspects of his team's success and personal life.

Towns, Bridges, Anunoby, and Hart all asked Brunson questions during the monologue, with Towns joking about not being able to stay for the entire show, Bridges inquiring about Brunson's arm length, Anunoby recalling a crucial Game 4 shot, and Hart referencing a significant salary negotiation with the Knicks. The four teammates then took the stage, receiving a resounding ovation from the crowd.

This marked Brunson as the first active NBA player to host "SNL" since LeBron James in 2007 and the first pro athlete since Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce in 2023.
