Fuel price: NNPCL reduces petrol price to N1,405 in Abuja

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has lowered petrol prices at its stations across Abuja. According to a recent market survey by DAILY POST, NNPCL filling stations in Gwarimpa, Kubwa, and other areas have cut their petrol price to N1,405 per litre from N1,430 per litre. However, stations along Kubwa Expressway, Air Junction, Wuse Zones 4 and 5 have maintained their petrol price at N1,395 per litre, leading to a price variation of N10 per litre across different locations.

NNPCL is not the only filling station in Abuja offering discounted petrol. Other stations such as MRS, Ranoil, AA Rano, and Empire Energy are selling petrol at prices ranging from N1,395 to N1,430 per litre. Meanwhile, the Dangote Refinery recently reduced its gantry fuel price by N25 per litre, bringing the price down to N1,325 per litre.

Despite the price cuts, many filling stations have not yet reduced their petrol prices. Nigerians continue to demand further reductions as crude oil prices for West Texas Intermediate (WTI) stand at $92 per barrel and Brent crude at $104 per barrel.
