Former Tomball High School football coach arrested, accused of sexually abusing student

Former Tomball High School football coach Nick Codutti was arrested on Saturday and charged with two counts of indecency with a child and sexual performance by a child, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office. The allegations stem from a former student's claim that Codutti sexually abused her over several years when she was a teenager at Tomball High School in the late 2010s.

The incident report details how Codutti allegedly sent the teenager sexually explicit images on social media and later met her at his home to engage in sexual abuse. The woman also alleged that Codutti would arrange for her to leave school early and bring her to a hotel, threatening her with physical force if she attempted to end their relationship.

The alleged victim reportedly sought help from a therapist, who filed a report with Texas Child Protective Services, leading to the Sheriff's Office investigation. Codutti, who worked at Tomball High School from 2017 to 2021, was arrested by the Sheriff's Office Violent Criminal Apprehension Team and is currently in custody at Harris County Jail. He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted of the most serious charge.
