Fatal crash in regional Victoria

Two people have died and another remains in critical condition following a devastating crash on the Western Highway in Victoria's north-west. The incident occurred near Mount Drummond Road, where a car collided with a truck and then struck another vehicle, a third car, last night around 6:45pm. Detective Acting Sergeant Leigh Miller of the Major Collision Unit stated that the victims of the two fatal crashes have not been identified yet.

Four people were injured in the collision, with a young girl among them suffering from critical injuries. The other three were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The truck driver was uninjured and stopped at the scene. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, focusing on factors such as fatigue, distraction, or potential speeding.
