Dolphins' Malik Willis loses Achane, still shines in loss to Chiefs

In a challenging game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Dolphins quarterback Malik Willis showed resilience despite injuries to his running backs and backup Ollie Gordon. Willis faced a difficult matchup with Patrick Mahomes and was unable to rely on De’Von Achane, who left the game due to a knee injury after just three carries. The Dolphins' backup, Jaylen Wright, was also inactive with injuries.

Despite these setbacks, Willis managed to shine in the loss, 24-10, by making crucial connections with Malik Washington, Greg Dulcich, Ryan Miller, and Washington. He orchestrated a 91-yard drive in just 17 plays, showcasing his leadership and skill. Willis also contributed to the offense with a 42-yard gain, setting up a field goal to narrow the gap to 14-10. His performance, including his arm and legs, earned him a B-plus grade.
