Policeman Nik Ab Halim Nik Mat disclosed that a former director of a religious school in Dungun was arrested at his house near 11 p.m. on the previous day. It was reported that three male students, aged 13 and 14, committed sexual offenses from April to September 2025 at a madrasah religious school in the area. The superintendent of police issued an arrest order on Thursday, following the approval of a police request in the Dungun Magistrate's Court.

The officer said, the 26-year-old male, who is now a temporary director of a religious school in the area, was arrested at his residence near Paka around 11 p.m. the previous day. According to the police, three complaints were received about the incident yesterday, and initial investigations revealed that all three victims were former students of the madrasah.
