Commanders S Quan Martin expresses his support for Marcus Mariota

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels sustained a dislocated left elbow earlier in the season, forcing him to miss the team's Week 3 game against the Seattle Seahawks. Despite having the opportunity to play through the injury, Daniels ultimately decided against undergoing surgery and has been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign.

In Daniels' absence, the team will rely on backup quarterback Marcus Mariota to assume the starting role. Mariota, who started eight games last season, compiled a record of 2-6 with 10 touchdowns and six interceptions, along with 13 sacks. The Commander's safety, Quan Martin, expressed his disappointment at seeing Daniels sidelined due to the injury.

Despite his frustration, Martin expressed unwavering confidence in Mariota's ability to step up and deliver. "I don't think there will be no drop-off from 5," Martin affirmed. The Commanders' defense will have to bolster their efforts to ensure that the team remains on track for a playoff berth this year.
