College football rankings shuffled with Florida surging in US LBM Coaches Poll Top 25

The latest edition of the US LBM coaches poll in college football remains largely unchanged from last week, with only a few teams experiencing movement. Texas leads the rankings in the No. 1 spot, following their victory over Tennessee. Florida makes the most significant jump of the week, ascending all the way to No. 8 after defeating Mississippi.

This marks the Gators' first top-10 appearance since September 2021. Georgia maintains its second-place position, with only a drop of three spots to No. 17 after a win over struggling Oklahoma. Notre Dame and Miami also hold steady in the top three, with Miami claiming more points overall due to IU's struggle against Northwestern. Ohio State climbs back up to No. 6, while Alabama remains at No. 9.

Brigham Young and Texas Tech retain the ninth and tenth spots, respectively, while LSU remains at No. 11. Iowa experiences a four-spot climb to No. 14 after their last-second win at Michigan. The Wolverines remain in the poll at No. 24. Oregon moves up one spot to No. 15 by winning against Southern California, causing the Trojans to fall six spots to No. 18.

Four teams join the top 25 for the first time, with Mississippi State at No. 16, Houston returning at No. 20, and Duke and UCLA debuting at No. 21 and No. 23, respectively. Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Louisville, and Washington all drop out of the rankings.
