Cockroach Janata Party Announces Oct 2 Shivaji Park Protest Over Election Commission Concerns

Mumbai's Cockroach Janata Party has announced a protest at Shivaji Park on October 2 from 3 pm to 9 pm, alleging negligence and irregularities by the Election Commission. Party spokesperson Pranay Ahire confirmed preparations are underway for the demonstration. The party has also informed the Shivaji Park police about the planned protest, though the police have not yet commented.

On September 26, the party submitted a letter to the Shivaji Park police, expressing concerns over the recent developments affecting India's democratic system and questioning the functioning of the Election Commission. The party maintains that every vote holds value in a healthy democracy and that the alleged functioning of the poll panel has raised questions about the electoral process.

They stated that the protest will be peaceful and conducted in accordance with the Constitution, with no intention of creating a law-and-order situation. Ordinary citizens are encouraged to participate in the protest, and the organizers assured limited use of microphones and sound systems during the demonstration. Party leader Ajinkya Shinde, the National Organisation Head of the Cockroach Janata Party, expressed the party's expectation of cooperation from the police and promised updates on the protest details to the police.
