This commentary, attributed to Yuyuantantian, emerged shortly after a summit between Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington, where topics encompassing artificial intelligence and trade were discussed.

President Xi stated that the world's two largest economies ought to collaborate in ensuring AI remains under human control, directing the technology towards benefiting humanity. The development of AI encompasses enhancing the underlying technology and disseminating its advantages, as per the commentary. Managing AI entails tackling the risks associated with its application, such as potential misuse and the prospect of humans losing control over AI systems.
