Blue Jays rookie Trey Yesavage relieved to be healthy heading into off-season

Toronto Blue Jays rookie Trey Yesavage expressed relief at being healthy as the team exited the MLB playoffs. Despite missing 47 days due to meniscus surgery in August, Yesavage sought to make as many starts as possible before the season ended. He made his return on Sept. 21 and finished the 2026 season with a 5-6 record, 3.69 ERA, and 97 strikeouts over 97 2/3 innings pitched.

While he acknowledged areas for improvement, Yesavage is optimistic about the upcoming off-season and plans to add to his pitching repertoire, potentially experimenting with a curveball or two-seam fastball.
