BC-A communities samithi urges Bandi Sanjay to withdraw his statement

The BC-A Kulala Hakkula Parirakshana Samithi called on Union Home Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar to withdraw his assertion supporting the inclusion of the Mudhiraj community from the BC-D group to the BC-A group. In a press conference, the Samithi's founder president, retired professor M. Bagaiah, strongly disagreed with the Minister's "biased and unjustified" claim of shifting a community from the D group to the A group in the BC reservations category.

The Samithi president, Gadapa Srihari, and spokesperson, Kante Ramchander, argued that there was no justification for the Minister's statement regarding the Supreme Court's support for the community's inclusion in the BC-A group. They emphasized that any consideration to add a community or caste to the BC-A group should be based on a scientific analysis of factors like population, education, financial status, and social position.

In urging Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar to retract his statement, the Samithi leaders appealed to the government to evaluate the economic, educational, and political representation of a specific community before adding it to the BC-A group. They reminded the Minister of his constitutional duty to address the grievances of all communities and not to favor one community over others. The Samithi warned that any attempts to include other communities in the BC-A group would face strong resistance.
