Although sporting director Deco recently said that Alvarez is "in the past," Romano clarifies that this does not mean Barcelona has forgotten about the Argentine. Deco's statement was meant to encourage the club to focus solely on the current season. Despite being happy with their current attacking options, Barcelona still admire Alvarez and may consider pursuing him again if circumstances change in the future.
