Avengers Endgame Encore grosses over Rs 17 cr, beats Robert Pattinson, Brad Pitt films

Avengers: Endgame Encore has surpassed both Robert Pattinson and Brad Pitt's recent films at the box office in India, earning over Rs 17 crore in its second day of release. The Marvel Cinematic Universe ensemble film, a rehash of 2019's hit Avengers: Endgame, has opened strongly both domestically and internationally. Following its opening day, the movie continued to perform well, collecting Rs 7.65 crore from 3,700 screens across India on its first Saturday.

The majority of this revenue came from the native English version, amounting to Rs 5.60 crore. Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu dubbed versions contributed Rs 1.35 crore, Rs 35 lakh each. On Saturday, the film's total collections reached Rs 7.25 crore. With a projected improvement over the weekend, Avengers: Endgame Encore is expected to cross the Rs 20 crore mark, potentially making it the highest grossing Hollywood re-release in Indian history.

In contrast, new Hollywood releases have failed to achieve similar numbers, with Robert Pattinson's Primetime earning only Rs 81 lakh and Brad Pitt's Heart of the Beast collecting Rs 2.05 crore. Avengers: Endgame Encore's domestic counterpart, Deepak Kumar Mishra's The Vvan: Force of the Forrest, has managed to earn Rs 19 crore, which is Rs 4.10 crore less than the Marvel film.

The box office success of Avengers: Endgame Encore also poses a significant challenge to new Bollywood releases, such as The Vvan: Force of the Forrest, which has only managed to collect Rs 4.10 crore more than the Marvel film.
