Arizona volleyball drops heartbreaker in 5 sets at Colorado

Arizona volleyball narrowly fell to Colorado in a thrilling five-set match, ending their Big 12 season with a loss. The Wildcats took an early 2-1 lead, but Colorado mounted a remarkable comeback to win 3-2. Arizona head coach Rita Stubbs acknowledged that her team missed opportunities in the fourth set, particularly when Colorado served cross court to Sydney Jordan, who proved to be a formidable back row threat.

Despite a strong performance by outside hitters Carlie Cisneros, who had 18 kills and a team-high 22.5 points, the Wildcats' middle blockers struggled to make an impact, registering just 11 kills at a .185 clip. Arizona's middles were set an uncharacteristic 27 times in the match. The loss leaves Arizona in need of wins against other ranked teams if they hope to make the tournament again.
