Anutin visits flooded Khlong Chan flats, delivers relief supplies

Bangkok, 27 September 2026 — Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul journeyed to the flooded Khlong Chan Housing Estate in Bangkok's Bang Kapi district by boat, delivering relief supplies to residents as floodwaters reached a depth of approximately 1.5 meters. Upon arriving, Anutin met with Deputy Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, Pol Gen Samran Nuanma, to assess the flood situation.

He also interacted with rescue volunteers and Energy Minister Eknat Promphan, along with the "Sud Soi" volunteer team, who were aiding flood victims and helping those residing in areas with high water levels. Afterward, Anutin embarked on a boat to distribute relief bags to affected residents, who expressed gratitude for the water and dry food provided.

Residents requested two water pumps urgently to remove floodwater from pump rooms, as daily use of clean water had become a challenge due to the ongoing flooding. Anutin inquired about the specific type and specifications of pumps needed to cater to the residents' requirements. Amidst the visit, a resident was heard demanding to know why Anutin had come, to which a staff member responded that relief water had been brought for them.

As Anutin exited the estate, onlookers were seen standing on balconies and calling out to him. Government agencies, including military, police, and Interior Ministry personnel, joined efforts to assist residents in traveling by boat to and from their homes. Additionally, the Mall Group distributed relief bags to affected residents.
