Anthony Joshua fight stepping stone to Usyk rematch, says Fury

Tyson Fury has declared that Anthony Joshua is merely a stepping stone in his path toward a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk, ahead of their upcoming bout in Cardiff on December 11. The former heavyweight champion made these remarks during his first public statements following the officialization of his fight with Joshua. Fury confidently predicts that he will defeat Joshua within seven rounds at the Principality Stadium, stating his intention to "knock him out, one hundred per cent."

Fury, who lost two bouts to Usyk in 2024, remains focused on securing another opportunity against the Ukrainian. He emphasized that Joshua, whom he considers "an old bum" and "a weightlifter," is merely a warm-up for Usyk. Fury also criticized Joshua's physical condition, predicting a dominant performance against his British counterpart, proclaiming he would "cut through him like a hot knife through butter."

The December 11 fight will feature two of Britain's most prominent heavyweight fighters, both aiming to make a significant impact in the ring at Cardiff's Principality Stadium.
