"AAP Worker Abused My Family": Delhi Minister Parvesh Verma On Slap Row

Delhi PWD Minister Parvesh Verma is embroiled in a new controversy after he allegedly slapped a man who questioned the poor state of a road in Tilak Nagar. Footage captured the incident, which took place in the presence of police, and has sparked criticism from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). The victim, identified as Sahil, claims he was handling social media for Tilak Nagar AAP MLA Jarnail Singh when they were called to inspect the road's condition by the PWD department.

Sahil said he demonstrated the crumbling condition of the road to Verma, but the minister allegedly lost control and struck him. Police personnel were present during the incident, and an FIR has been filed. AAP MLA Jarnail Singh also accused Verma of fleeing the scene after the assault. He claimed the minister demanded an apology and demanded disciplinary action against himself.

The AAP MLA further alleged that Verma had asked Sahil to show the damaged area, but instead of addressing the issue, Verma slapped the man recording the incident and left. AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj also criticized the minister, alleging that the road had been built using substandard materials.
