In the early hours of yesterday morning, four men met their demise near Taman Jaya Diri on Jalan Sepanggar in Sabah. The Petaling Jaya Police reported that a Perodua Viva, driven by the four men, veered off the road and collided with a five-ton lorry parked on the roadside. The Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat (JBPM) Sabah confirmed that Bomba and Rescue Team (BBP) units from Kota Kinabalu, along with fast-response BBP, were called to the scene at 2:37 am.

Upon their arrival, the bomb squad found the accident involving the Perodua Viva, which had overturned and smashed into the stationary lorry. According to Bernama, all four victims were found trapped inside the vehicle, and rescue operations successfully extricated them using specialized equipment. The rescue operation was completed at 3:50 am, and medical authorities confirmed that all four victims had succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
