2027 AFCONQ: Black Stars train at Accra Sports Stadium ahead of The Gambia clash [Photos]

On Saturday, the Black Stars resumed training at the Accra Sports Stadium as they intensified their preparations for the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against The Gambia. This comes less than 48 hours after the team's return from a match in Bouaké, where they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Côte d'Ivoire. The loss left Ghana, a four-time African champions, in need of points to secure their bid for a place at the 2027 tournament.

Carlos Queiroz's side began fine-tuning their strategies for the crucial match on Matchday Two at the Accra Sports Stadium pitch. The squad is slated for one last training session on Monday before facing The Gambia on Tuesday, 29 September, with the match beginning at 16:00 GMT. Ghana is determined to make a return to the Africa Cup of Nations after missing out on the previous edition in Morocco, ending a period of more than two decades without continental finals appearances. The 2027 AFCON will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
